No, this isn't him - this is his Minime
Stack o kids at Camp Cousin
Here he is - my bro
Where to begin - um...my brother is basically the greatest person on earth. He loves his wife and adores his children. He works hard, but is more fun than anyone I know. He's smart and hilarious - he is generous and forgiving - he is honest and upfront. He would never try to impress anyone - but everyone is impressed by that. I have never in my whole life met anyone who did not think my brother was awesome. He takes care of my mom even though he is busy with his own family. He is the reason I turned out ok - I'm not sure if he even realized that, but I hope so. Without my brother - I would not be the person I am today.
I bring this all up because not only is he more to me than I can ever write here - he is also my kids'hero. I don't say that lightly. He really is. For the past two years, he has asked me to let my girls spend over a week at his house in Arizona so that he can take them places, play with them, read to them and build their bond. All made possible by his amazing wife (of course he married a beautiful, smart, loving, kind, funny, silly and overall amazing woman). When they come home - it's all they talk about and they just beam. I have no idea why they knicknamed him Uncle Weremy Barnaby Super - but as soon as they said it, I realized he had to have a name like that - Uncle Jeremy just doesn't cover what he is to Lauren and Emma.
I think about how lucky my girls are to have such amazing examples of men in their lives. My brother is there for them - he loves them like they are his own children and they know that. I hope that they will be close to him their whole lives because they will be better off for it.
Love you, Bro.
