This one...

Kids keep you humble is an understatement when you have Lauren Noelle for a kid. She is a no nonsense person, as my mom says.

So, this morning I am getting ready and second guessing my dress choice. It is probably too short, but I'm convincing myself it's fine. I walk out of my room and immediately -

Lauren: "That dress looks like a shirt"

"What!?" "Emma, do you like this?"

Emma:"Yeah, I like it"

Lauren: "I didn't say I didn't like, I said it's short - actually it has color and something on it so it's way better than anything else you wear"

Keep in mind - Lauren says none of this with ANY malice at all - she is just so matter of fact, she can't help it. If you ask my daughter a question, you better be prepared for the truth, no sugar coating.

Do you think Jeff escaped just because he was at work? No, he did not. About 20 minutes later I'm saying something about him being strong. I say:

"Your dad is stronger than the average guy for sure - probably more like a super hero"

Lauren: "He can't be one because he doesn't have that square right here" she indicates the area around her belly button.

"Like the belt buckle?"

Lauren: "No, the square - here" again she indicates and I realize she means the ab muscles.

She confirms: "He only has muscles on his arms"

I am dying.
